- 3 to 4 pounds beef roast (chuck or rump)
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth (optional)
Instructions
- Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
- Season the roast with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the top of the roast.
- Add the pepperoncini peppers and pour the melted butter over the roast.
- If desired, add beef broth for additional moisture.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Serve warm, shredding the beef directly in the slow cooker or on a platter.
Notes
Quality meat and proper seasoning are key to achieving the best flavor. Butter enhances richness, and you can add vegetables for a complete meal.
