Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef roast (chuck or rump)
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Season the roast with salt and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the top of the roast.
  4. Add the pepperoncini peppers and pour the melted butter over the roast.
  5. If desired, add beef broth for additional moisture.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  7. Serve warm, shredding the beef directly in the slow cooker or on a platter.
