Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat the Grill – Clean your grill grates thoroughly and preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). Lightly oil the grates using a paper towel dipped in oil to prevent the fish from sticking.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Marinade – In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Season the Salmon – Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush both sides of the salmon generously with the herb and lemon mixture. Let the fillets sit for about 5 to 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. Step 4: Grill the Salmon – Place the salmon on the grill, flesh-side down first. Grill for about 4 to 5 minutes without moving them to get nice sear marks. Carefully flip the fillets using a wide spatula.
  5. Step 5: Finish Cooking – Grill the salmon on the skin side for another 4 to 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the grill and let rest for 2 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Garnish and Serve – Garnish the grilled salmon with extra fresh herbs and fresh lemon slices before serving warm.
