  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well blended, ensuring there are no clumps.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Use buttermilk for a softer texture. Don’t overmix to prevent tough pancakes.
