Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups frozen hash browns
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup diced vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, onions, spinach)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings (cooked bacon or sausage)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the frozen hash browns with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish to form a crust.
- Bake the hash brown crust for 20 minutes until crispy and golden. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Stir in the cheese and diced vegetables. Season with additional salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture into the baked hash brown crust. If desired, add cooked bacon or sausage on top. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until the quiche is set in the center.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
Squeeze out excess moisture from hash browns for a crispier crust. Experiment with different vegetables and cheeses for variety.
