Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 lemon (optional, for a squeeze of juice)
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Place your cubed chicken in a large bowl. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the meat. Toss everything together until every piece of chicken is evenly coated with the seasoning blend.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken pieces in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary to avoid crowding the pan. Let the chicken cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to get a golden-brown sear, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes until cooked through.
- Create the Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet with the chicken. Once the butter has melted, toss in the minced garlic. Stir frequently for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and begins to turn a light golden color. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Garnish and Finish: Remove the pan from the heat. Toss the chicken bites one last time to ensure they are fully coated in the garlic butter. Sprinkle the fresh parsley over the top and add a squeeze of lemon juice if you like a bit of brightness. Serve immediately while hot.
