- 1 bag of Doritos
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 cup corn (canned or frozen)
- 1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- Sour cream and salsa for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Make sure to break apart the meat as it cooks for even browning. Drain excess fat to keep your salad from being greasy.
- Add the taco seasoning and water according to the packet instructions and cook for a few minutes until thickened. Stir occasionally to ensure the meat is well-coated with seasoning.
- In a large bowl, layer chopped lettuce, corn, black beans, cherry tomatoes, and the cooked meat. Feel free to mix in your favorite toppings at this stage, such as sliced jalapeños or avocado.
- Top with shredded cheese and crushed Doritos to give it a satisfying crunch. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side for dipping.
Notes
Store salad ingredients separately from Doritos to maintain crunch. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
